I am developing anode-support thin-film solid oxide cell (SOC) by using laser pulse deposition (PLD) technique. I am challenging to make high-quality anode supports and stack multi-layer thin-films to assemble high-performance cells. Solid oxide cell is utilized for electricity generation (solid-oxide fuel cell, SOFC) and hydrogen production from water/steam (solid-oxide electrolysis cell, SOEC).
Oxide perovskite for oxygen catalyst
Oxide perovskite materials (e.g., SrCoO3-δ, SrTiO3-δ) were developed for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) of solid-oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) for steam electrolysis cell (EC) by using synergetic effects of defect engineering and heterostructure.
Photocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction
Highly active photocatalyst is developed by nanostructure engineering with combined defects and heterostructure.

Catalytic studies
My current work is on development of catalyst, which is used for SOFC and SOEC device for electricity and hydrogen production. I open collaborative work with specialist in computation research (e.g., DFT calculation) and advanced spectroscopies for catalytic mechanistic studies.
