I2CNER participated in E-MRS Spring Meeting in France

4 WPI Institutes, including the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (I2CNER), represented the World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI) at the E-MRS 2014 Spring Meeting in Lille, France from May 26-30.

Founded in 1983, the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) now has more than 3,200 members from industry, government, academia and research laboratories, who meet regularly to debate recent technological developments of functional materials.

 

AIMRiCeMSMANA and I2CNER hosted the WPI booth to introduce WPI program and our research institutes.

On May 27, the WPI institutes hosted the reception, “Come together + Japanese Product Tasting.” Program Director, Prof. Kuroki and many other researchers participated and had lively discussions over Japanese food and Sake.

On May 28, the WPI institutes held a workshop with the theme; “Japan in Motion”. In the workshop, Prof. Kuroki, Program Director outlined the WPI program and 4 directors described appealing environments of research institutes in Japan. About 70 researchers participated in the workshop.
