On Monday, October 2, 2023, the 4th results briefing based on the organization-responsive collaboration agreement between Mitsui Chemicals and Kyushu University was held at the auditorium of the Omuta Plant of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Uehara, Director, Center for Frontier Technology Center, R&D Division, Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. and Dr. Takai, Director, Mitsui Chemicals Carbon Neutral Research Center, Kyushu University, gave opening remarks and expressed their expectations for the social implementation of the results from the joint research.

After that, the persons in charge of research presented the progress and research results of individual projects currently being conducted under the comprehensive collaboration between the two parties, and opinions were exchanged.

Finally, Dr. Ishihara, Director of the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research, Kyushu University, and Mr. Uehara, Director of the Center, Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. gave general comments, and Mr. Shibata, Managing Executive Officer of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. gave closing remarks.

In addition, on Tuesday, October 3, a tour of the Omuta Plant was conducted for participants from Kyushu University.
