Title
“Natural Hydrogen: the current knowledge and potential in Kyushu”
Abstract
Hydrogen is abundant in nature and is referred to as natural hydrogen. Exploration for “natural hydrogen gas fields”, where natural hydrogen is stored underground like methane gas fields, is underway around the world. This presentation explains the “natural hydrogen systems” and exploration and development methods that have been identified to date. It also introduces the project to assess the natural hydrogen potential in the Kyushu region, initiated by the Department of Earth Resource Engineering at Kyushu University.
