The website of Kyushu University, The Center for Energy System Design (CESD), headed by Prof. Hiroshige Matsumoto (Advanced Energy Conversion Systems Thrust), has been released.
CESD was launched in November 2022 with the aim of promoting research that contributes to the realization of a sustainable carbon-neutral society through collaboration among domestic universities and research institutes. Based on the international collaboration system that I²CNER has built so far, this center hopes to promote wide-ranging energy research that spans multiple fields by collaborating with domestic universities and research institutions. In addition to the creation of science and technology, the realization of carbon neutrality requires human resources to drive it. By making the center a field where young researchers can actively participate, we are planning to develop young, multidisciplinary human resources.
Many of our faculty members are involved in the CESD.
