The Ambassador of Italy to Japan Visited I²CNER

On Monday, November 29, 2021, the Italian Ambassador to Japan, Gianluigi Benedetti, paid a visit to I²CNER.

The ambassador was accompanied by Marco Prencipe, Consul General of Italy in Osaka, and Enrico Traversa, Attache of Science and Technology at the Italian Embassy.

Assoc. Prof. Chapman, Administrative Director, gave a general introduction of I²CNER and the status of academic exchange program with Italian research institutions, followed by an exchange of opinions on the future development of the program.

Deputy Director Matsumoto then took the participants on a tour of the laboratories of Professor Ishihara, Professor Kubota, and Associate Professor Taniguchi in the I²CNER research buildings.

The visit ended with confirming their intention to further strengthen academic exchange and promote human resource exchange between Italy and Japan for future carbon-neutral research.
