A homepage of Kyushu University, Research Center for Negative Emissions Technologies (K-NETs), headed by Professor Shigenori Fujikawa (Multiscale Structural Science Unit), has been released.
K-NETs is working towards a carbon resource recycling society (carbon-neutral society) that can effectively utilize the recovered CO2, including technology that reduces CO2 that has already been released into the atmosphere (negative emission technology), and further promotes it to create CO2 in the atmosphere. It was established in April 2021 as a research center aiming to realize a “beyond zero society” in which the concentration is permanently reduced.
Many faculty members related to I2CNER are also involved in K-NETs.
