Assoc. Prof. Tsuyohiko Fujigaya, Assoc. Prof. Akari Hayashi, Assoc. Prof. Teppei Ogura(Fuel Cells Research Division) and Assoc. Prof. Shigenori Fujikawa (CO2 Capture and Utilization Research Division) are focused on “Development of fuel cell and water electrolysis cell using nano-laminating technique for electrocatalyst fabrication”. This research project was selected as the “Advanced Low Carbon Technology Research and Development Program (ALCA)”.
The ALCA program was established by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), aims at creation of cutting edge technology for the future realization of a worldwide low carbon society. This program promotes R&D, with competitive funding, of new basic high-potential scientific knowledge and discovery in order to realize the continual and steady reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the mid and long term. It expects to obtain fruitful research leading to green innovation.
Also the ALCA program seeks to the making conceptual breakthroughs and creating “Game-Changing Technology”. It contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the mid and long term (2030~2050) and to the realization of a wealthy, low carbon society.
