Dr. Toyoki Kunitake, the Emeritus Professor of Kyushu University, as well as the WPI visiting professor for International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research(I²CNER), the President of Kitakyushu Foundation for the Advancement of Industry Science and Technology is awarded the Order of Culture 2014.
Emeritus Professor, Dr. Kunitake completing Engineering master’s degree of Kyushu University, followed by the Master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania Chemistry Ph.D., and worked for California Institute of Technology as the doctoral researcher. After that, he was hired by Kyushu University as a faculty of Engineering assistant professor in October 1963, and promoted as the professor in April 1974. He served as Dean of Engineering from April 1992 to March 1994, and got involved with the education, research, and management operation. In addition, in 1999 he has been awarded the title of Emeritus Professor by Kyushu University and now he has become the WPI visiting professor for International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research(I²CNER).
