Professor Chihaya Adachi (Principal Investigator, Advanced Energy Conversion Systems Thrust) has received the Citation Laureate 2026.
This award was presented in recognition of the following achievement in the field of physics: “for pioneering research on phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PHOLEDs) and thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), enabling ultrahigh-efficiency organic light-emitting diodes.”
The award recipients were announced at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Clarivate’s Tokyo office in Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
