[Press Release] Rational Design of CO₂ Sorbents Based on Microwave-Matter Interaction for Rapid Dielectric Heating Regeneration

A research group led by Professor Shuntaro Tsubaki of I2CNER has revealed a material design strategy that enables the rapid regeneration of amine-based adsorbents by selectively heating CO₂ adsorption sites using microwaves.

The study was published online in the Journal of Physical Chemistry C on August 7, 2026.
