The International Institute for Carbon‐Neutral Energy Research (I²CNER) has received a generous donation from Mr. Takehiro Fuji through the International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research Fund.

On May 11, 2026, Mr. Fuji, who was awarded the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon at Kyushu University’s Anniversary Ceremony held at Shiiki Hall, visited I²CNER and met with Director Tatsumi Ishihara and Associate Director Shigenori Fujikawa.

During the visit, Director Ishihara provided an overview of the background of I²CNER’s establishment, its vision, and its research activities. They also exchanged views on recent developments surrounding carbon neutrality. Associate Director Fujikawa then guided Mr. Fuji through the laboratories in the I²CNER building, explaining various experimental facilities while introducing I²CNER’s research activities.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for Mr. Fuji’s warm and generous support. I²CNER will continue to further advance its research efforts toward the realization of a carbon-neutral society.
