WPI-SKCM² (Hiroshima University) and WPI-I²CNER (Kyushu University) are pleased to present a Joint Research Symposium, including a day of talks followed by a poster session, showcasing the latest research from both institutes. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at I²CNER Hall, Ito Campus, Kyushu University and also streamed online.
WPI-SKCM² specializes in the intersection between topology and chirality, focusing fundamental science towards enabling technologies that contribute to pressing global issues. WPI-I²CNER aims to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and environmentally-friendly society by advancing low-carbon emission and cost-effective energy systems, and improvement of energy efficiency.
The Symposium will feature talks by the directors of both institutes, Ivan Smalyukh (WPI-SKCM²) and Tatsumi Ishihara (WPI-I²CNER).

This event is part of a 2-week school, covering topics related to knot topology, chirality, and sustainability from December 9-20, 2024. Week 1 will be at Hiroshima U and week 2 will be at Kyushu U.
