On Monday, September 4, 2023, Chancellor Robert J. Jones of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), paid a visit to I²CNER.

Chancellor Jones was accompanied by a delegation of UIUC.

Prof.  Andrew Chapman, Administrative Director, gave a general introduction of I²CNER, followed by an exchange of opinions on the future development of the strategic partnership between Kyushu University and UIUC.

The visit ended with visiting the laboratories of Profs. Fujikawa, Matsumoto, Kubota and Ogo in the I²CNER research buildings.
