Prof. Takeshi Tsuji (Multiscale Science and Engineering for Energy and the Environment Thrust, I²CNER / University of Tokyo) received the Asahiko Taira International Scientific Ocean Drilling Research Prize (The Taira Prize) from the American Geophysical Union (AGU).

AGU is the world’s largest Earth and space sciences association. The Taira Prize is given annually in recognition of outstanding, transdisciplinary research accomplishment in ocean drilling to an honoree within 15 years of receiving their Ph.D.
