Welcome to our laboratory which belongs to the Thermal Science and Engineering Division of International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (WPI-I2CNER), Kyushu University, one of the Japan’s top research universities.
We intend to solve various environmental and energy related problems in the field of air conditioning, refrigeration and thermal energy storage; leading towards the realization of a sustainable society through innovative research and education activities.
We have developed several pioneering adsorption cooling cycles, which effectively exploit waste heat of temperature as low as 50°C. We established collaborative research with top universities all over the world including NUS, NTU, Fraunhofer Institute, Warwick University, IISc, UKM, UTP, UI and KAUST. We challenge cutting-edge research on adsorption science and engineering.
Outside of research and educational activities, we enjoy exploring Japanese culture, and participating in multi-cultural events and sports.

Message to Prospective Students

I wish all of you the best of luck in your future research endeavors and sincerely hope that you will cherish your time spent with us at Kyushu University.
