International Workshop on Superfunctional Energy/Nano Materials (SENM2027)

Scope

The fourth International Workshop on Superfunctional Energy/Nano Materials (SENM2027) will be held in Fukuoka, Japan from September 28 to 30, 2027. In this workshop, we will exchange information and views on nanomaterials and energy materials with advanced functional properties. The topics we discuss in the workshop include mechanical/structural properties, hydrogen-related properties, catalytic/photocatalytic properties and electrical/electronic properties of metallic, non-metallic and organic materials. In particular, we will focus on high-entropy alloys and on the significance of severe plastic deformation, grain refinement, phase transformations and lattice defects on various properties. Any related talks including processing, characterization and applications are also welcome.

Registration

Registration fee for all participants (invited and regular) is JPY 30,000 in cash, which is paid at the registration desk on September 28. There is no registration fee for students.

Presentation

All presentations are made face-to-face by oral.

Lunch is held at Big Orange Restaurant on campus (https://www.coop.kyushu-u.ac.jp/data/info_bigorange_restaurant.pdf).

Reception

Reception is held at Wara Wara Restaurant (https://f233388.gorp.jp/).

Banquet

Banquet is held at Zauo Restaurant (http://www.zauo.com/zauo_honten/for-group/). A bus transfers the participants from the I²CNER to the restaurant and from the restaurant to the I²CNER and Kyudai-Gakkentoshi JR Station.

Labtour

Labtour will be conducted from 16:00 on September 30.

Kyushu University is located in a rural area, so we don't have many hotels around here. You have two options for accommodations. You can choose to stay nearby or stay in the center of the city and come here by bus or train.
