Professor Yasuyuki Takata, the Director of NEXT-RP, was presented with the “Heat Transfer Memorial Award – Science” by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) on July 9, 2025.

This prestigious award recognizes Professor Takata’s outstanding research achievements in the field of heat transfer and his significant contributions to the advancement of thermal engineering through his academic and professional activities. He is the third recipient from a Japanese university since 1992.

The award ceremony was held during the Award Luncheon at the ASME Summer Heat Transfer Conference, which took place from July 8 to 10 in Westminster, Colorado.
