Prof. Zenji Horita (Principal Investigator, Molecular Photoconversion Devices Division) has received the "NanoSPD Achievement Award" at the 7th International Conference on Nanomaterials by Severe Plastic Deformation (NanoSPD7) held from 2 - 7 July, 2017 in Sydney, Australia for his outstanding contributions to our understanding of nanostructured materials using severe plastic deformation.

The NaoSPD Achievement Award is the most prestigious award in the 
NanoSPD community. The NanoSPD conference has been held in every three 
years since 1999. The 7th conference (NanoSPD7) provided a platform for 
the NanoSPD community to present new results and to exchange idea on the 
potential of severe plastic deformation to bulk nanostructured and ultrafine-grained materials.
